Two Benton Trombonists recently received awards for their musicianship by the Saline County Symphony Orchestra. Ethan Bronson, upcoming BHS sophomore, and Kohen Smith, upcoming BHS junior, received scholarships from the SCSO to attend a band camp of their choice this summer. Both students had to complete a 400 word essay about why they would like to attend band camp. They also had to describe how attending camp will help them grow as a musician and meet his musical goals. SCSO provides a number of opportunities for students to perform with their group.
