Benton Panther Band Gets Fired Up at the Everett Salt Bowl Pep Rally
Last night, the Everett Salt Bowl Pep Rally painted the town maroon at the Everett Infiniti dealership with music, dancing, and excitement. The Benton community packed in to enjoy the spectacle that kicks off the season starter year to year, the battle between rivals Benton and Bryant, with the Panther Band stealing the show with their first live performance of the year.
The Salt Bowl is commemorating its 50th anniversary this year and marks a significant part of our community and beyond and is the highest attended high school football game in the state. This year is exceptionally exciting with the move from War Memorial Stadium to our very own home turf, entering a new chapter in the story of Saline County.
Between dance moves, pompoms, an eating contest, and drum lines, patrons, standing shoulder to shoulder, enjoyed Kona Ice and new merch (provided by Everett and First Security Bank) while coaches Brooke White and Jerry Bridges rallied support for their teams who needed no introduction. The band, who has been rehearsing since July, stood out with Panther Pride and a stellar performance, led by Tricia Moffett with more to come this Friday at the Salt Bowl, which will be played on Friday, August 29th at 7:00 pm at the Benton stadium. Come watch the game and see our students perform on our home field. While you’re there, don’t forget to stop by the concession stand!
